UK Passport Renewals in Spain
Consular offices throughout Spain can issue an emergency passport which is valid for a single journey to the United Kingdom.
The British Consulate-General in Madrid also issues full 10 year passports. Applications should be made on the relevant C1 form for adults, or C2 form for under-16s.
You should enclose two passport size photographs, taken with a white background, one of which must be countersigned, and the fee. If your application is for a passport renewal, you should also include your old passport.
Routine passport applications are generally processed within ten days of receipt of a fully completed application and the correct fee. However, delays can occur during busy periods.
Read the notes and complete the application form carefully as incomplete forms may well be returned. Include a daytime phone number where you are most likely to be contactable.
