Poitou-Charentes is located on the French west coast between Bordeaux and Nantes.

Moreover, a temperate climate along with seemingly endless hours of sunshine and luminosity specific to the region renders Poitou-Charentes a great place for play, whatever the time of year.

Cognac is the capital of brandy production stands amidst a landscape covered with rows of vines. Cognac has created close ties with the River Charente, and cellars belonging to the greatest names in the marketing and distillery trades closely neighbour telltale reminders of the past.
La Rochelle's main feature is the "Vieux Port" ("Old Harbour"), which is at the heart of the city, picturesque and lined with seafood restaurants. The city walls are open to an evening promenade.
Poitiers' tourist industry has greatly benefited from the opening of the Futuroscope in nearby Chasseneuil-du-Poitou. The city center is visited in complement to the theme-park and benefits from a larger proportion of European tourists, notably from the United Kingdom.
