Gdańsk lies on the southern edge of Gdansk Bay (of the Baltic Sea) in northern Poland.

Immerse youself in Gdansk - Get to know the thousand-year history of the beautiful port on the Baltic. Look Neptune, the god of the sea, in the eye and wave at the lady in the window. Take a walk down the Long Market and call at Artus Court. You can walk in the footsteps of the main character of The Tin Drum or look at the stars of Hevelius. On 1 September 1939, at around 4.30 in the morning, it was here, in Gdańsk, that the Second World War started with shots fired from the battleship Schleswig-Holstein. It was a time of bravery and martyrdom of its citizens. The heroic fighting in Westerplatte and the martyrdom of the defenders of the Polish Post Office opened a new, tragic chapter in the history of Gdańsk.

Gdańsk is a pearl of bourgeois architecture, boasting beautiful houses and a unique market. It is a world of cozy streets and historical churches. Gdańsk also has beautiful and clean beaches. Thanks to serious ecological investments all Gdańsk beaches have been opened in recent years and the quality of sea water is very high

There are two guarded bathing beaches in Gdańsk: in Stogi and in Brzeźno. Other beaches are located in the Jelitkowo and Sobieszewo districts.
