County Dublin is the area that contains the city of Dublin, the capital of Ireland as well as the largest city on the island of Ireland; and the modern counties of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin. Dublin is split into four administrative units. These are, Dublin City, Fingal, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown, and South Dublin County.

Corkagh Park, close to Clondalkin, boasts a rich heritage of mature trees, extensive woodlands, beautiful water features and a lovely park. A visit to Corkagh Park Fishery will satisfy any angling devotee. This superb fishery comprises of two lakes, a coarse lake and a trout lake, that together form approximately 7 acres of fishing space.
Portmarnock is situated to the north of Dublin City in County Fingal. Portmarnock is famous for its world class golf course which formally opened on December 26 1894, while another links course, opened in the 1990s, was designed by German golfer Bernhard Langer.
Tallaght is celebrated in Irish history as the seat of the monastery founded by St. Maelruain in the eighth century, part of the original tower still stands today. In the early fourteenth century, the archbishops of Dublin built a castle as a country residence in Tallaght. A small tower still survives in the grounds of the Dominican Priory.
