Canillo is a town 12km from the capital of Andorra between Andorra La Vella and the French border at Pas de la Casa.
Canillo is a picturesque small town , and is cut into two halves by the river running through the middle of it. In addition it is an intensely medieval town, with its quaint alleyways and charming houses with their rustic wooden balconies and the fine old ironwork grilles.
Canillo is one of Grandvalira’s main mountain passes. Thanks to a modern, 8-seater cable car, it has become one of the easiest accesses to the resort. At the top lies the El Forn valley, one of Andorra’s most beautiful natural havens. Canillo is the ideal sector for beginners, for family skiing and for those who value the comfort of a peaceful town without crowds.
