Cala d'Or is a Holiday Resort on the east coast of Mallorca which is very popular with Irish and British Holiday Makers. Cala D'or has many sandy beaches, like Cala Gran, Cala d'Or, Cala Egos, Cala Es Forti, Cala Serena and Cala Esmeralda. A mini road train regularly runs between the different parts of the resort and the beaches.
Cala D'or is very lively in the Summer months, particularly in the pedestrianised area with its many shops, bars and restaurants, offering a wide variety of internationaol cuisine. Also popular is the Marina area which is filled with many exclusive yachts throughout the year and is surrounded by restaurants and bars.
It is approximately one hour 15 minutes from Palma airport to the resort and the nearest major town to Cala d'Or is Santanyi. The pretty fishing port of Porto Petro is only a five minute journey away by car and can also be reached by the mini train.
